Job Description
- Lead the design, implementation, and support of automation and technical projects within the automated distribution centres.
- Analyse and troubleshoot technical projects to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
- Ensure effective integration, maintenance, and optimisation of automation systems to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with the National Systems Team to support the successful deployment of technology solutions across a number of UK distribution centres.
- Provide ongoing support for automation projects, maintaining a high level of technical performance across operations.
Experience Required
- Someone with knowledge of implementing warehouse automation systems which are manufactured by companies such as Dematic, Knapp, Vanderlande, TGW.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies (e.g., automated storage/retrieval systems, conveyor systems, robotics) and the integration with IT systems.
- Proven track record in delivering automation and technical projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical or logistics industry.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and supporting multi-site operations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automation, or related field
