Product Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Will be the technical lead on all products manufactured at the specific site.
• Accountable for the set-up of process routes to ensure products conform to all customer requirements. Monitoring and improvement activities around these routings essential.
• Assist the entire business by investigating and closing concerns around method and product non-conformity and feedback into process changes.
• Review of all new customer specifications to confirm manufacturing has capability.
• Follow and strive to continuously improve the Business Management System and be an ambassador for the system into operations.
• Responsible for liaising with customer technical departments in matters of process change/improvement and seeking necessary approval when required.
• Accountable for seeking out ‘Best Practice’ for manufacturing process and systems both within the group and externally.
• Will be involved in customer product improvement events.

Ideal Candidate:

Educated to minimum degree level

5 – 7 years manufacturing and technical experience within a metals manufacturing industry

5 years’ experience of running short to medium term projects to successful conclusions

Experience in Aerospace and/or metal manufacturing would be a distinct advantage

Ability to understand product process routes and customer driven requirements

Thorough understanding of external and internal customer quality standards

Good understanding of lean manufacturing

A dynamic individual with good organizational and influential interpersonal skills

Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to drive the business forward

Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Determination to succeed in a deadline driven environment
