About the Role
Your main tasks are:
Project manager role with travel and on-site intervention work when needed under the control of the Projects Department
To be the first point of contact for the Customer in the process of delivering systems, in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
Manage projects on quality, time and budget in conjunction with local and head office project managers who will support you on these projects with regards to engineering and production.
Being able to pro-actively identify and manage risks
Delegate effectively any work required from other resources by providing all relevant details and managing the time schedule for the successful completion of the work.
Build a good relationship with the customers, so the systems delivered can be used as references and visited by other customers, but also additional works, like aftersales support contract, spare parts and even additional systems can be sold, by creating win-win situations
Support both the Sales and Project Managers for all pre-contract projects to increase the sales activity
Pro-active approach to finding new ways of supporting the activities of the department.
Carry out interventions on site to achieve the goals of the assigned projects based on quality, time and financial targets
Support to other departments when requested and agreed with VP Project Execution EMEA
Produce detailed written reports for both customer and internal use.
Being able to read and understand contracts and protect the company against claims.
Technical support for both customers and internal requests on a case-by-case basis, and as assigned by the VP Project Execution EMEA
The candidate
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in a recognized engineering qualification: preferably electrical or mechanical.
Required skills: Organizing, planning, financial control, problem solving, selling variations
At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required.
Must be willing to work from the office in the Netherlands and travel frequently for EMEA customers, and occasionally for assignments in other regions
Must be fully independent and highly self-motivated for completing all works to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Must have strong customer service mentality
Perseverance to meet goals, prevents excuses
Master Dutch, English and German language
IT Knowledge
Must have strong computer literacy – Microsoft Office 365 and be fluent with all Windows based operating systems.
Be able and not afraid to discuss IT related topics with customer on a global level
