Robotics Engineer - Shape the Future of Manufacturing!

Do you have a passion for robotics and keeping production lines humming?

We are looking for a talented Robotics Engineer to join our growing team at a leading global manufacturer based in Birmingham.

 

The Opportunity:

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our automated production equipment. You'll work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and meet tight deadlines.

 

You Will:

  • Be a seasoned Robotics Maintenance Engineer with experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing.
  • Possess a strong understanding and practical experience with ABB & Fanuc robots.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, performing daily and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement repairs.
  • Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for assigned systems.
  • Manage and maintain the Preventive Maintenance (PPM) system.
  • Ensure all machinery operates safely and complies with current regulations.
  • Contribute to the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process.
  • Support the implementation of new equipment to enhance performance.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory in the consignment warehouse.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

 

We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per year + 15% shift allowance.
  • Two-shift working pattern (Monday-Friday): Mornings (potentially > 6am-2pm) or Afternoons (2pm-10pm).

Qualifications:

  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of Robotics (ABB & Fanuc).
  • Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and fabrication.
  • Ability to perform equipment strip down and electrical installations.
  • Strong fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with PLCs (ideally Siemens S7).
