We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our plant's engineering team. You'll be instrumental in driving operational excellence, optimising processes, and ensuring the smooth running of the facility.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with the plant's overall goals.

Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence: Drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through effective maintenance strategies, including PPM and RCM.

Project Management: Oversee capital projects up to £1m, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Financial Stewardship: Manage department budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.

Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent. NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification. Proven track record in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience in managing large-scale capital projects. Deep understanding of maintenance strategies and reliability techniques. Strong financial acumen and cost management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
